What we do – Pick Medicare

What we do

Are You New to Medicare or Turning 65 Soon?

There are 3 ways to enroll into Medicare – Online, Over the phone, or in person. We can help you with your enrollment into Medicare and after that is taken care of, help you enroll into a secondary coverage. Medicare Coverage by its self does not have any annual maximums and also does not offer coverage for Dental or Vision. These secondary plans range in price from $0 per month up to $150+ per month. Some plans even reduce your Medicare Premiums! The plans can be Medicare Supplement, Medicare Advantage, and/or Prescription Drug Plans. We go through a check list of about 30 different questions to get to know you and your personal needs. We consider your budget, your doctors, your and medical needs when creating some ideas for you. Once YOU are confident we have found a solution that will meet your needs and fit your budget (A LOT OF PLANS ARE NOW $0!), we can complete your enrollment into the plan or plans of your choice over the phone with you.

Do You Already Have Medicare?

Most of the people that we work with actually already have Medicare and a plan secondary to Medicare, like Medicare Supplement or Medicare Advantage. We specialize in reviewing the coverage to ensure the plans are still up to date and offering the highest levels of benefits. Medicare Plans can change annually so it’s always a good idea to review your plan if its been more than 12 months since your last review.

Are You Covered by Company Plan and are considering Medicare?

A lot of individuals are still working when their Medicare Eligibility comes around. Remember, in most cases, you are eligible on the first day of the month of your 65th birthday. So if you are born on May 15th, your Medicare start date would be May 1st. Depending on what your employer coverage looks like and the cost it is to you and family, you might want to consider leaving that plan for Medicare. Our licensed agents can help you determine which plan is going to work. A lot of times we simply let people know to keep their employer plan, but in some cases, Medicare + a Secondary Plan offers a better solution. You owe it to yourself to at least consider this as an option once your Medicare Eligibility is nearing. Medicare is a lot of information so the earlier you begin to understand how it works; the better off you will be if you eventually decide to enroll after the work place coverage ends.
